Goodman established itself as the largest HVAC manufacturer in the US by producing high-quality, efficient equipment and providing it to homeowners at a great value. The GMEC96 two-stage, multi-speed furnace was designed to provide premium efficiency at an affordable price. It features Goodman’s superior heat exchanger design for the primary heat exchanger and an additional secondary heat exchanger to ensure that your energy dollars aren’t being vented out of your home. This combination results in a furnace that converts 96 of the energy used directly into heat for your home, Goodman’s highest mark for a two-stage furnace. Instead of a standard multi-speed blower motor, the GMEC960603BN utilizes an ECM motor, which uses less power and provides smarter circulation. The value doesn’t end at efficiency, the GMEC96 features many different connection options to reduce installation time and a self-diagnosing control board to expedite maintenance.

Purchasing a hard drive may be a crap shoot. All hard drives fail in time. The trick is to attempt and find one with the best track record. I needed a 1TB movable to simply drag and drop music, pics, vids and papers to so I could free up some space on my laptop. I had been trying to choose between a WD and a Seagate for about a week. I read many reviews online complaining about some issues with both. I have decided against the WD drive because of all the complaints about being locked into using their loaded software, flawed cables, and poor buyer service and 1 year warranty. The Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB had some complaints about not being recognized by windows after dismounting and remounting so I started looking at the Canvio Connect. If you read the reviews
it is evident that the Canvio has some complaints also, however since it was on sale locally for less than I could purchase it from Amazon I grabbed one. So far so good. I have had the 1TB Canvio Connect plugged in for 3 days now to my 3 year old Windows 7 laptop with USB 2. 0 ports. I have moved, deleted and re-moved 75GB’s of MP3’s. I have had it hooked up straight to the USB port and also through a cheap Belkin 4 port USB hub. The move rate (USB 2. 0) for me is 13MB/s. The drive is almost silent, didn’t get warm throughout transfers and so far has given me zero issues. I’m not using the included software. I may check it out but for now I’m simply dragging and dropping files onto the drive. I went with 4 stars due to local sale price (64. 99) and the plug and play simplicity I have experienced so far. I will come back in a year and give it 5 stars if it is been dependable.
1TB, lightweight, I velcro this to the cover of my Macbook Pro when traveling. I partition it to be 500GB to be used as Time Machine to backup the interior/startup drive, and use the 2nd partition of 500GB to be extra data.. Which these days is all above video, TV shows, etc. Works perfectly. The USB cable is just the right length — which is short, prob 15" total. It is also a USB 3 drive, which means if you have a computer or laptop that has USB 3 ports, then the move speed is super fast — particularly for a bunch of big 2GB or bigger video files. One thing to understand, which lots of people do not know, because the business does not explain this:The USB 3. 0 port, and it is cable end, are different from regular USB ports you have been used to. So the USB port on this drive looks different from the Mini USB or Micro USB port you’re most likely used to from last movable hard drives. It
is done that way in part to recognize it as a quick USB 3. 0 drive anda 2. 0 drive. But you only get the high move speed using the corresponding new 3. 0 cable type at the device end (a hard drive, or an Android tablet or phone, as an example), and the other end of the cable seems a regular USB cable you plug into your laptop or computer in that flat rectangular form. 2 things to be aware of, however the good news isn’t to worry :(A) If your laptop or computer is pre-2013 or so, it’s probably that the USB speed system of your computer’s USB ports is USB 2. 0, and not the faster 3. 0. But that is OK, you may be able to still use these great lightweight and high capacity drives I do. My MacbookPro is older, and uses USB 2. 0, however I use this drive and everything works perfectly, no problem whatsoever.. The only thing I have to understand.
Like many, this external hard drive constantly connected and disconnected. I had to change my USB power settings so it could stay connect. I’m not happy I had to do this, however it’s more of an issue with the design of USB 3. 0 ports and power distribution to them than a Toshiba problem. Also, I didn’t find a problem with the USB cord between the hard drive and the computer as some have stated. But, external hard drive manufactures should know the USB 3. 0 problem and warn the public. My ranking is depending on the failure of Toshiba to communicate a possible problem with the power settings on USB 3. 0 ports. It could help if the product came with a fast reference card noting possible problems with computer settings so I could not waste so most of my time diagnosing the problem. This is what I did to make it stay connected – control panel/power alternatives/change plan settings/change advanced power settings/USB settings /USB selective suspend settingThen set the plugged in choice to disabled.
