Why we like PFE28RSHSS fridge

We replaced our old (10 years old) GE Monogram with this unit. This refrigerator had good reviews and last year's model (PFE29PSDSS) received "Best of Year" and "Editor's Choice" on Reviewed. Com. Seemingly the government changed the terms for measuring cubic feet, hence the drop from 29 to 28, but it's the same refrigerator with some updates. Reading through the reviews on last models one issue that kept coming up was how deafening these refrigerators were so this was a point of concern but we decided attempt it, planning on returning it if this was a problem. I'm happy to say this isn't a deafening refrigerator. Last models may have been but this one is calm. Another issue brought up was small ice capacity in the door ice maker and admittedly the ice in the door is less than our last refrigerator, roughly 100 cubes. But this new model remedies this with a second ice maker in the freezer compartment which you may be able to turn on when you need it and leave off for extra storage when you do not. This is ideal since the smaller door unit only becomes an issue when entertaining and now you just turn the second unit on and there's more than enough ice. The look is nice and it complements the kitchen. The auto fill feature, while not obliged, is fun and we use it more than anticipated. The screen is easy to use and intuitive and the interior LED lighting is cool. This refrigerator seems to be well made, holds consistent temperature, and has higher humidity in the new food part than the freezer which is great if you store allot vegetables. I could recommend this refrigerator and so far we dont have complaints. Cheers.
